Artworks

The contemporary collection

In order to support the creation of new art pieces and to give young artists the opportunity to be selected for exhibitions, a competition for Sardinian artists was announced.

The contest lasted two months and called for new masterpieces, specifically created or unreleased to the public, inspired by the “Giants of Mont’e Prama” Nuragic statues. The competition was mainly advertised through social networks and received large exposure in the media.

A multidisciplinary blue-ribbon jury was summoned to bring together a comprehensive perspective on the art pieces, from a contemporary art point of view to an archaeological insight. 12 projects were selected between more than 160 submitted art pieces.

A sincere thank you
to the 160 contestants

Thanks to all the Sardinian artists who have taken part in the contest, proving that Sardinia is able offer to high-quality contemporary art.
